Omega 3 Chocolate Brownies

Ingredients

150g spelt/wholemeal flour
2 mashed bananas
2 tsp baking powder
5 tbsp cacoa powder
80g coconut sugar
200ml plant milk of choice.
3 tbsp oil of choice
Optional: 3 tbsp Nature’s Heart Superfoods Omega 3 powder
2 chia ‘eggs’ (2 tbsp chia seeds soaked in 6 tbsp warm water. Soak for 15 minutes).
1 tsp vanilla extract
Pinch of sea salt

Method
  1. Mix all dry ingredients in a large bowl.
  2. Add the milk, oil, banana & vanilla and stir together thoroughly. Allow mixture to sit and soak up liquid for 10 minutes.
  3. Line a baking tray with parchment paper and pour in the mix.
  4. Place in the centre of the oven 180ºc and cook for 30-35 minutes. Stick a cocktail stick in the centre of the brownies and it should come out clean. If it has mixture on it pop back in the oven for another 5 minutes.
